time flies

Wow time sure does fly.  I can't beleive how long it has been since my last blog post.  There has been so much going on.  Our one adopted son has occupied just about all our time.  However he is now 18 and decided he wants to live somewhere else so that stress and problems are gone.  It feels so weird to have a normal family again.  Okay as normal as it can get.  We still have some issues to deal with but nothing like what it was like.  No arguing, fighting, physical threats.  I do not have to worry about strange people showing up at the house.  It is like being in a prison and suddenly being set free.  At first you keep pinching youself to make sure you are awake, slowly over time it finally sinks in that you are free. 

There is so much I want to do with the blog.  Now that I have free time I can do that.  I will post more often and put up whats been happening in our life so far.  I am new at blogging and really not that brilliant when it comes to computers but I will learn over time.

I am back for good

Hello blog world. Okay I am finally back. It has been a back and forth decision for me whether to blog or not. There is so much that I would like to share but for 1) lack of time, 2) so many of my fellow bloggers seem to get beat up in the comment section 3) there seems to be so many blogs out there what could I say that hasn't already been said and would anyone be interested in what I had to say. So after much thought this is what I decided 1) every Sunday while the children are cooking breakfast I will blog, 2) if you don't like my blog don't read it. It is going to be about my life of adopting children, don't agree, don't read 3) maybe know will read but it sure will be great outlet for me. Kinda like a diary, no one reads that either. Unless you have a nosey 17 year old that reads stuff like that which is why I don't keep a diary anymore. Whats the point of keeping a diary when you have to write all good things about the nosey 17 year old, who only reads it to see if you are writing anything about him anyway.

So with that in mind I am back. Over the course of time and as I learn more how to blog, I will share my favorite blogs and websites. Hopefully will make the blog look a little more welcoming. I will also posts some pictures. I wrestled on that one, there are so many crazy people out there but since we got Felix our mastiff, a person would have to be truly and completely crazy to mess with him. Loves the family but hates strangers.

hey again

Okay, it has been a while since I last posted. To be honest I wasn't sure that blogging was something I wanted to do. There seems to be so many blogs out there, kinda like cookbooks, will this one make a difference. However I have concluded that yes it is very much needed. If nothing else to be my online journal. Since any journal I have ever written in the home has been read by my very troubled 17 year old, might as well open it up to a very hundred strangers.

This is going to be a very short post just to get my feet wet. I will be putting together a longer and much more detailed post later. Time for school.

Hey everyone

I am sorry that I haven't posted in a while. To be honest I wasn't sure that blogging was for me. For several reasons, the main one finding the time. Second it seems that some of the other blogs that I have been reading have been getting very nasty comments for stuff they share on their blogs. I have enough trouble going on in my house , definately do not need more. So with much thought and mulling it over, I have decided to go ahead and make the plunge. Bloggin probably won't happen everyday and it will take a while for me to get my blog set up the way I want it but eventually I will get there. This blog will probably be more like a journal of my thoughts and daily life. I haven't decided about pictures yet. There are many blogs out there that post pictures of their family and some that warn against it. Also I have to decide how much to post and not to post. It seems that there is so much to guard against in this wonderful world or ours.





I am going to ask a favor though. I do not expect everyone to agree with anything I post. Especially about adoption and raising children. Probably not even on our christian beliefs (we are Seventh Day Adventists) , please be respectful though. Its okay to disagree, and it certainly is okay to give advice but please try to respect my views. I promise to do the same if you have a blog. Sometimes people have to agree to disagree.





Anyway I hope that this blog is a blessing to anyone that visits. My main focus will be about God, cooking, and foster and adoption. I am going to work on getting links up this week on my favorite blogs. I will try to get a little more detail written up about the family and maybe a few pictures, especially on my pets. Like I said it is going to take me some time to do this, we have seven children and we homeschool so I have limited time to blog.

Beginnings

Hello, everyone. Well this is the beginning of a new venture for me, blogging. I am not sure how good at I will be but hey life is a venture right.

There are several things you should know about me, okay more that several but we will start with a couple. 1. I am a perfectionist, for some reason I have this tendency to want things a cerain way. 2. I love to talk, way to much according to my children but hey what dot they know. So with that in mind we should have a lot of fun. I do have lot to share with you but again it is going to take me a while to get it all organized. My daughter assures me that I can develope different pages on this blog thing, so that is what she is going to help me do this week. That way if there is a certain topic someone is interested in they can go to that page and read it, not get bogged down with other things.

Now for how often that I will blog, probably not a lot at first as we are trying to get things set up but after that maybe once a week. Remember I am a busy homeschooling mom of seven children.
